Five Eco-Friendly Green Trademarks — Going Green

Everywhere you go people are talking about going green and how it impacts the environment. From chemicals to plastic bags, people are trying to come up with new and innovative ways to make our planet more environmentally sustainable.

Companies that are seen as being environmentally sensitive tend to create a vision of care. Having eco-friendly or ‘green’ products gives companies a competitive advantage in the marketplace since more and more consumers are becoming concerned with social responsibility.

In 2017, there was a total of approximately 3,500 applications filed with ‘sustainable’ or ‘eco-friendly’ in the product description. The below trademarks have been filed with one of those keywords in the product description.

1. 'EarthChoice' by Domtar Paper

EarthChoice paper products by Domtar Inc. are part of an environmentally responsible family of papers.

2. ‘The Honest Company’ by The Honest Company

The Honest Company provides eco-friendly baby products, baby bath products, baby diaper products, baby body care products, and household cleaning products.

3. ‘Happy Farmers’ and ‘Caring Dairy’ by Ben & Jerry’s Homemade Inc.

Ben & Jerrys provides education services, seminars, and workshops in the field of sustainable dairy farming. They also provide arrange and conduct special events centered around the theme of sustainable dairy farming.

4. ‘Greenmom’ by Greenmom Co.

Greenmom Co. is an online retail store offering eco-friendly products. The website also features blogs and publications in the nature of eco-friendly products and parenting advice for mothers interested in making healthy decisions for their families.

5. ‘Room to be Green’

The Room to be Green program focuses on five key pillars: energy conservation, water conservation, recycling and waste reduction, employee engagement and operational excellence, and smart, safe, and sustainable product usage.

We will only continue to see the number of trademark applications with ‘eco-friendly’ or ‘sustainable’ in the product description rise as companies are adapting their products to satisfy more consumers.
