CORSEARCH AI TRANSPARENCY POLICY

This AI transparency notice (“Notice”) describes how artificial intelligence (“AI”) tools, generative models, and machine-learning systems are used by Corsearch, including any of Corsearch’s subsidiaries, affiliates and service providers (“Corsearch”, “we”, “our” or “us”). This Notice sets forth information regarding our governance, system capabilities, data usage, and user rights in accordance with applicable legal requirements, including the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (“EU AI Act”). 

We may update this Notice from time to time to comply with legal requirements or to reflect updates to our platforms, models, and AI use. If we make material changes to this Notice, we will notify you by updating this page.

SCOPE OF THIS NOTICE

This Notice applies to:

  1. visitors of our website (www.corsearch.com and any other Corsearch websites) 
  2. users of any Corsearch platform or services, including Brand Protection, Content Protection, Trademark Solutions, and CVAN services (“Users”)
  3. recipients of automated, scheduled, or ad hoc transactional reports delivered across all of Corsearch’s services

Corsearch acts as either an AI Provider (where we build, train, or fine-tune proprietary AI models) or an AI Deployer (where we integrate third-party models into our platforms) depending on the specific product feature.

This Notice does not apply to or govern internal, non-customer-facing administrative tasks (such as employee use of approved AI tools for drafting emails or internal administrative support).

WHAT AI WE USE

We deploy analytical, machine-learning, neural networks, natural language processing (NLP), rule-based algorithms and generative AI models across our product pillars. HOW AND WHY WE USE AI SYSTEMS

We process publicly available web data, trademark registers, and customer inputs to deliver, train, and refine our AI tools.

SYSTEM LIMITATIONS AND HUMAN OVERSIGHT 

While our AI platforms provide advanced analytical accuracy and workflow efficiency, AI systems operate on probabilistic algorithms. Users should be aware of the following governance principles: 

  • All outputs provided through features like NameCheck, Name Generator or risk scoring engines are provided for analytical, screening, and administrative guidance only. They do not constitute formal legal clearance, guarantee trademark registrability, or serve as binding legal advice
  • Our systems avoid fully autonomous decision making, and we encourage customers to involve human oversight. The final decision to act upon an AI output rests entirely with the user.
    • In Brand Protection and Content Protection, Corsearch analysts and customer users provide essential human oversight before taking enforcement actions 
    • In Trademark Solutions, responsibility for legal evaluation rests with the Customer (including legal counsel and law firms advising their clients). Liability for final legal advice or consequential decisions remain strictly with the customer. 
  • Candidate names produced by the Name Generator are non-exclusive and probabilistic. Similar suggestions may be generated for other users based on similar prompt inputs. Customers are responsible for conducting full clearance diligence
  • AI models may occasionally generate incomplete, imprecise, or non-deterministic results. Corsearch conducts regular quality assurance using proprietary benchmarks (measuring precision, recall, and stability) to minimise error margins.

WHERE AND WHOM WE SHARE YOUR DATA FOR AI PROCESSING

To operate our AI features, we work with vetted third-party AI technology vendors and cloud infrastructure providers:

  • AI Infrastructure & Model Providers: We use secure commercial enterprise instances from third-party providers, including OpenAI, Google Gemini and Amazon AI. We maintain enterprise data processing agreements with these providers to ensure that inputs, prompts and queries are never used to train public or third-party underlying models.
  • Hosting Infrastructure: Corsearch AI data and platform infrastructure are hosted securely in data centers located in Germany, Europe.
  • Security Standards: Corsearch platforms maintain robust technical safeguards, demonstrated by our ISO 27001:2022 security certification.
  • Model Updates & Notifications: To maintain technological flexibility, Corsearch utilizes various AI models and providers. If a change to an AI tool materially decreases privacy, security, functionality, or performance, Corsearch provides 30 days' advance notice to impacted customers. Routine updates do not require prior notice.

YOUR RIGHTS

We respect your rights regarding our use of AI. You have the following rights: 

  • Right to Transparency: Request clear information on how specific AI tools on our platforms calculate threat scores or generate outputs.
  • Right to Human Review: Request that risk scores or programmatic classifications with material impact be reviewed by a human team member.
  • Right to Report Inaccuracies: Submit feedback or report inaccurate, biased, or improper AI-generated content through our support channels.
  • Data Subject Rights: Exercise your GDPR rights (Access, Rectification, Erasure, Restriction, Objection) regarding any personal data processed by our AI tools as detailed in our Privacy Policy.
